From my home base in Toronto, I’ve built a formidable career navigating global markets, co-founding a trading office in 2006 and earning my stripes as a respected figure on the Toronto trading floor.

My expertise in risk management, technical analysis, and strategic execution—honed through years of managing real capital in real-time markets—drives the commanding presence I bring to the show, where I share unfiltered, sharp insights with viewers. Beyond the trading desk, I’m a dedicated family man and a respected Little League baseball coach, balancing my professional drive with a personal life fueled by a passion for fantasy sports and unwavering loyalty to the Green Bay Packers, making me a trusted and relatable guide for traders worldwide.

After graduating with an economics degree from the University of Waterloo, I started out on a prop floor in late 2003.

I finished my first year as one of the top traders on the floor, and soon after, I partnered with the other top trader and our risk manager, Shawn, to open our own trading floor in 2005.

After eight successful years, we merged our team back into the Toronto head office, where we’ve been trading consistently ever since. In 2020, we launched the YouTube show — and we’ve been growing ever since.

With over 25 years of experience in broadcast journalism and financial markets, I bring a unique blend of media expertise and market insight to everything we do.

Before joining a professional trading floor in 2013, I was a Senior Business Reporter for a major Canadian media outlet. Since then, I’ve helped build the bridge between professional trading and real-time, broadcast-quality content.

Today, TraderTV.Live fills the gap between CNBC and SportsCentre — offering fast-paced, informative, and entertaining market coverage for a global audience of active traders.

After years of navigating courtrooms as a criminal lawyer, I made the natural leap to the chaos of the markets — where the stakes are high, the rules change daily, and no one objects to charts.

Now, I’m a full-time trader and the host of the midday show How To Trade, where I bring a practical, skeptical lens to the fast-moving world of finance. Each day on the show, I dive into equities, crypto, commodities, and macro trends, balancing sharp analysis with just enough dry humor to keep things honest.

My goal? Cut through the noise, keep it real, and maybe have a little fun while doing it. When I’m not in front of the mic or watching the markets, you’ll usually find me lifting weights, avoiding buzzwords, or reminding people that “going to the moon” isn’t a strategy.
